Salesforce expands its strategic alliance with Google to boost the agentic enterprise


Salesforce and Google today announced an expansion of their strategic alliance by introducing a new wave of AI innovations designed specifically to transform the business. This collaboration brings Google’s most advanced Gemini models to Salesforce’s new Agentforce 360 ​​platform.

The expanded partnership between the two companies puts employee productivity at the forefront by integrating Agentforce 360 ​​with Google Workspace for sales and IT services. In addition, under the new agreement signed by Salesforce and Google, the integration of Salesforce and Gemini, already available in Gmail, is expanded to more Google Workspace tools.

The integration of Gemini into Agentforce opens the door to new possibilities for companies

Companies now have the ability to use Gemini models to power Salesforce’s Atlas Reasoning Engine, which is the brains behind Agentforce. This expands Agentforce’s model offering to take advantage of Gemini’s powerful multimodal intelligence with the ultimate goal of addressing complex, multi-step business problems. Additionally, because Agentforce’s reasoning engine now enables hybrid reasoning, Gemini users will be able to deploy more accurate and consistent AI agents for their businesses in Salesforce.

Salesforce and Google are also expanding the capabilities of large action models (which allow automating processes, not merely text) through Gemini models that outperform the sector’s leading LLMs in the main CRM benchmarks. This builds on the powerful orchestration capabilities of Agentforce 360 ​​to connect agents, data, and tools across the enterprise.

Toward a digital workforce by accessing Salesfore Consumer 360 apps from Google Workspace

Salesforce and Google, on the other hand, have a long history of improving the employee experience through the seamless integration of Google Workspace and the Salesforce platform. Gemini Enterprise and Slack enable data amalgamation in the new agentic era

The expanded Salesforce and Google alliance also directly incorporates Gemini Enterprise into workflows through integration with Slack’s real-time search API. In practical terms this collaboration allows Gemini Enterprise users to directly base their responses on the most current data and conversational files of a particular organization, allowing them to quickly move from information to action.

The partnership between Salesforce and Google also results a new entry point to a Gemini Enterprise agent that can be used directly from the Slack user interface with the ultimate goal of creating a two-way workflow. Users can interact with Gemini Enterprise to get instant insights and summaries based on their Slack workspace.
