Amazon Ads launches “Video Generator”: its AI tool to create ads in minutes


The artificial intelligence of Amazon Ads takes another step in its international expansion with the launch in Spain of Video Generatoryour AI-powered video generation tool. Designed to enable advertisers of all sizes to create professional-quality audiovisual content in a matter of minutes, this technology promises to transform the way brands communicate with shoppers within the Amazon ecosystem.

The tool, which already operates in markets such as the United States, France or Germany, is directly integrated into the Amazon Advertising Console Creative Studio. From there, advertisers can generate up to six video versions in just 3 to 5 minutessimply by entering the name of your product. No additional resources, editing skills, or large budgets are required.

Likewise, Amazon highlights that AI analyzes the details of the product, its listing on Amazon.es and its context of use, to generate videos with realistic scenes, smooth transitions and music adapted to the tone of the brand. Besides, Advertisers can upload logos, edit text, change audio or adjust scene lengths before launching their campaigns.

«All the advertiser has to do is write the name of the product and press ‘Generate’. In a few minutes, the tool creates six customizable videos. What we are doing is democratizing access to video advertising,” explains Bedi.

Photorealism and brand coherence as pillars of the tool

One of the key innovations of Video Generator is what Amazon calls “enhanced photorealism«: the ability of AI to represent products in real contexts of use. “When a model puts on a watch or pours milk into a glass, the movement of the clothing or liquid is natural, just like in real life,” explains the Head of Product. “That naturalness is what allows us to connect better with the buyer.”

Bedi also emphasizes that Brand authenticity is a priority: “We apply input and output filters throughout the generation process to ensure that the result is faithful to the product and consistent with the brand’s visual identity,” he says. “In addition, we offer multiple versions of the video so advertisers can choose the one that best aligns with their tone and message.”

More than 400% growth in adoption

Since its launch in the United States, the tool has shown accelerated adoption. Amazon Ads reports a 400% growth quarter after quarter in the number of campaigns created with Video Generator, and highlights that more than 60% of the products promoted with this tool had never been advertised in video format before.

According to Bedi, these data reflect a paradigm shift: «We are seeing how advertisers who have never done video advertising are encouraged to try it. And big brands, which previously only used video for their star products, are beginning to apply it to a broader catalog.

The launch of Video Generator is part of a broader strategy by Amazon Ads to integrate generative artificial intelligence into its suite of creative tools.
