
57% of female digital marketing professionals prioritize work-life balance over salary

The study Women Marketing Leaders 2024: challenges and advances in the female careerprepared and published by the digital business consultancy SIDN Digital Thinking, establishes work-life balance as the most valued aspect by digital marketing professionals, surpassing salary. According to the report, 57.2% of women in the digital marketing sector prefer to have more options for work-life balance rather than higher financial compensation, a fact that makes sense if we take into account that 76% of women dedicated to digital marketing have between 30 and 40 years old.
Traditionally, salary has been the most important aspect for employees, but the trend has changed and not only in the digital marketing sector. The results of the Women Marketing Leaders 2024 report, which has a sample of 5,000 women in digital marketing, are completely aligned with the national panorama; According to Randstad Employer Brand Research 2023, 58% of employees in Spain consider work-life balance a fundamental factor when choosing a job and 55% value the possibility of having a flexible schedule as a key aspect of their work.
82% of female digital marketing workers choose to combine teleworking and face-to-face work
The pandemic and digital transformation made it clear that teleworking was here to stay, especially in digitalised sectors such as digital marketing. Thus, in 2023 and according to Statista data, the percentage of Spaniards who exclusively teleworked reached 9.2%, while those who opted for the hybrid model of teleworking and face-to-face work totalled 18.5%. A resounding 82.2% choose the hybrid model and 17.1% the 100% teleworking system.
